Te Waipounamu Riders Against Domestic Abuse Trust
What We Do
The Te Waipounamu Riders Against Domestic Abuse Trust (TWRADA Trust) organise and run the annual South Island White Ribbon Ride held in November, along with other activities that promote stopping Domestic Violence in the South Island
What is the White Ribbon Ride
The White Ribbon Ride is unique to New Zealand. A group of Motorcycle riders tour parts of the country in November, visiting schools, community groups, prisons and marae, speaking about family violence and ways of stopping it. They are just ordinary people who enjoy riding motorcycles but are committed to the cause. The ride usually culminates on international White Ribbon Day, November 25th.
Would you like the riders to visit your place of work or school? Contact the Trust Secretary at secretary@twradatrust.org.nz

Other Events
The Riders are often available to visit and speak at various events and venues throughout the year. We can't muster all the riders all of the time but we might be able to send one or two representatives to your gathering, school, workplace etc. to talk about respect, family violence, how to recognise abusive relationships and how to seek help.
